Privacy

Nothing about you leaves your devices.

Dial is a remote for the Sonos system you already own. It has no account of its own, no analytics, and no interest in your data. This page says exactly what it stores and where.

Last updated 7 September 2026

The short version. Dial collects no personal information and sends nothing about you to us. Your Sonos and music-service credentials are held in the encrypted keychain of the device you linked on — Apple TV, iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch — and never leave it. Everything the app does, it does between your devices, your speakers, and the services you have already signed into.

What we collect

Nothing. The app contains no analytics, advertising, tracking, or measurement code. We — the developer — receive no data about you, your household, your speakers, or your listening.

What the app stores on your device

None of this is transmitted to us or to any third party for our purposes.

Where the app connects

Every connection the app makes is one you asked for by using it:

How you authorise it

You approve Dial once, through Sonos’s own authorisation flow — the same way any third-party app connects. The app never sees your Sonos password. You can revoke access at any time in your Sonos account, and clearing the app’s stored credentials is a single action on its re-link screen.

Children

Dial is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date above changes with it. Material changes will be noted on this page.
